I began Yoga in the mid 1970’s. It was the final step in a process that took me from a dark place in my life to a future alive with endless possibilities. Initially, I was drawn towards Meditation and practiced with Buddhism, Transcendental Meditation and Divine Light for a few years before walking into my first Yoga class. It was immediate. I completely ‘fell in love’ with the practice. It literally felt as if I had finally come home.
Since then I have practiced, trained and studied with many renowned teachers, travelled and trained in India with Swami Gitananda and on returning home in the early 1980’s set up Yoga Quests which promotes the practice of Pranayama via seminars, workshops, training and retreats.
