Introduces the Upper Abdominal Breath and Sectional Breathing via lying, sitting and standing practices. It culminates with the Three-Part Breath.
Video 2 The First Pranayama 30 Minutes
Extends the Three-Part Breath into the Classic Grand Yoga Breath (Mahat Yoga Pranayama) via lying, sitting and standing practices. This Pranayama splits the lungs into Nine distinct sections and aims to deliver an extra depth of control and mastery over the breath.
Video 3 Flowing 12 Minutes
This is a flowing session combining various practices from Videos 1 and 2.
Video 4 ‘Switching On’ 36 Minutes
Introduces the four Classic Mudras that connect into the Subtle Anatomy and ‘switch on’ the current – Prana. This moves the practice firmly into the realms of Pranayama. It also introduces the three therapeutic sounds associated with the body. The session concludes with the extremely uplifting and profound practice of the Pranava AUM which combines the physical, the subtle and the vibrational into one self-contained practice.
Video 5 Flowing 21 Minutes
This is a flowing session combining various practices from Videos 2, 3 and 4.
Video 6 Equal Rhythm Breathing – Sukha Purvakha Pranayama 26 Minutes
Introducing the second part of Foundational Breathing wherein a move is made away from Sectional Breathing and more towards the flow and harmony of the Breath itself. An Equal Rhythm is used in order to see where the challenges lie in terms of the Breathing Cycle; to ‘steady’ the mind and emotions; and to further attune the Subtle Anatomy.
